Children's Drawing Contest in Belarus

Belarus Red Cross together with the National History Museum and the Ministry of Education has recently announced a children's drawing contest “Red Cross. I See the Good” dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the 1949 Geneva Conventions. The contest is supported by the ICRC. The main objective of the contest is to promote and enhance the principles and values set out in the Geneva Conventions 1949 through children creative activity. School students from Belarus, Bulgaria, Denmark, Switzerland, Poland and Ukraine aged between 6 and 17 are invited to participate in the contest. The deadline for applications and drawings is 18 March. Winners will get certificates and presents and their works will be exhibited in the National History Museum of Belarus. The first stage of the contest (selection of best works from the Belarusian regions and foreign states) will be finished on 15 April 2019. The second one will be held from 22 April to 31 May. The winners will be selected in two age groups in three categories: Red Cross in the Republic of Belarus and the World, The Principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, and Humanism in the Modern World.

 

It will be a great honour for Belarus Red Cross to present the works of children from Denmark in Belarus.
